Chicken



We made it to Chicken, but I am not quite sure why. The road is bad. The scenery was interesting, as we drove through an area destroyed by fire. The fire was 10 years ago, but the damage is still very visible. 


When we arrived at Chicken we arranged to take the Historic Old Town tour. We saw Tisha's home and schoolhouse. Our guide was a nice young woman who knew the story and much else about Chicken. 


After the tour we walked over to the rest of Chicken and had a beer at the Chicken Saloon and a barbecue chicken dinner. We walked past the Chicken statue and the gold dredge too. I think we saw ALL of Chicken.

    Did you find any gold on the ground? Perhaps something the gold miners missed?

    Very cool. That first pic - I would not want to be riding a bike up that hill....
