Last Day Budapest

We arrived on the Viking Tor Thursday. We have managed to get a table large enough for the ten of us so far. The ship is very nice, and they keep us very busy.

Our first evening included a cruise along the waterfront. The Supermoon was visible above the Parliament building, really quite spectacular!

The next morning we did a city tour of Budapest. We visited many of the spots we had already seen, but added the St. Mathias Church. This has an Eastern aesthetic. Its decorations are quite unique.

Mike stuck with Carol and I as our knees had decided to take their own vacation.

After the tour we drove through the countryside to rejoin the boat. We saw lovely small villages and many Roman ruins.

Next is Vienna.

Budapest and Lost Luggage

Arrived in Budapest safely, but Mike's luggage did not get the word. He will be wearing new clothes. The photos are in a Ruins bar. Interesting places.

We took a private tour yesterday and learned the history of Hungary. Melinda was a terrific guide! We learned how to pronounce Budapest (buda-pesh-t). And while Mike and I shopped learned the word kosonom (thank you). A local even gave us a coupon in the drug store when she learned about his lost luggage.

Last night we ate at a terrific restaurant, Cafe Intenzzo. Our group of ten are doing well. We head to our boat today.
