Fairbanks

Today we should arrive at Fairbanks. We are taking it slower as it is only another 200 miles. We stopped for a break and talked with a group of motorcyclists. They were also on their way to Fairbanks. We admired each other's rides, although you could not get me to do what they are doing.

We arrived at Delta Junction, the official end of the Alcan, around lunchtime and went to the local drive in for a buffalo burger. The motorcyclists were there, too. I guess we all have good taste.

Took a couple of photos at the end of the highway and pushed on to Fairbanks. I managed to get a couple of photos of the Alaska Range with Mount Hayes, Hess Mountain  and Mount Deborah.

Then the rain started and the temperature dropped into the 50s by the time we reached Fairbanks. We head to Denali in the morning after we find a glass shop to repair the chip to the windshield we received this afternoon.
